Nos plus sincères condoléances à David Samson et à toute sa famille à la suite du décès de leur fille, Kyra, décédée d’un glioblastome à seulement 28 ans. Notre famille est particulièrement sensible à toutes les formes de cancer du cerveau et comprend la douleur qu’une telle épreuve peut engendrer. Nous leur souhaitons beaucoup de force, de courage et de réconfort pour traverser cette période extrêmement difficile. Our deepest sympathies go out to @DavidPSamson and his family on the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Kyra, who passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumor at just 28 years of age. Our family understands all too well the devastating impact of brain cancer, and our hearts are with them during this incredibly difficult time. We wish David and his family strength, courage, and comfort in the days ahead.

Yesterday, my daughter, Kyra, passed away peacefully after a 9 month and 11 day fight against one of the cruelest diseases I’ve ever seen up close. She was diagnosed with Brain Cancer, specifically Glioblastoma. I have felt all of your concern and love for these months and wasn’t ready to be anymore specific than I was. Kyra was a 28-year-old young woman who loved deeply and who is impossible to describe in 280 characters. While her life got stolen from her, she handled these months with courage, poise, and resolve. And all I want is for no family to feel what we feel today. For no young person to suffer the way she did. In lieu of flowers, if you are moved to make a memorial gift, please consider “The Kyra Fund” (fundraise.gbmresearch.org/thekyrafund) This fund will be used solely to research treatments for Glioblastomas.
