🚨Jennifer Melle has been completely vindicated as the NMC has now dropped all charges against her. This is the right outcome, but how did it get to this point? Why did it take 18 months for the NMC to realise she did NOTHING wrong? Why did the NHS pursue an ideologically motivated witch-hunt against a hardworking nurse? How many other nurses will suffer a similar fate for stating biological reality? Why did it take a cross-party group of MPs, led by Kemi and myself, to challenge the NHS and NMC to save Jennifer’s livelihood? Will anyone be held accountable for their failure? We will not stop fighting for them and the countless other nurses being hounded for defending their rights.

(1) BREAKING: The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has dropped its cases against Christian nurse Jennifer Melle after she was accused of posing a “risk to the public” over a pronouns dispute involving a convicted paedophile prisoner. Common sense, conscience and truth have prevailed. Following an investigation, the NMC ruled that Jennifer had no case to answer...but the process is the punishment. Jennifer has been supported from the beginning of her ordeal by the Christian Legal Centre. Her employment tribunal case had been settled in April but Jennifer still faced two investigations by the nursing regulator, which could have ended her career. Last December it looked certain that Jennifer would be sacked and would be investigated for years by the NMC. Now, this has dramatically turned around and we give huge thanks to @KemiBadenoch and @ClaireCoutinho and all the other MPs who came together to support Jennifer in her darkest hour. Praise has been heaped on a van driver who gave an impromptu lift to armed officers chasing a suspect in Thanet. 👉 kent.police.uk/news/kent/late… During the chase on Tuesday 16 June, a passing motorist stopped to help and told a pursuing armed officer to get in the back of his van.

Statement from the Aston Villa Jewish Villans supporters’ club, of which I’m proud to be honorary president: “In the summer of 1938, on a tour of Germany, the name Aston Villa became famous around the world, as the only visiting team who refused an official request to perform the Nazi salute prior to kickoff. Today, the same club have been forced by the local authorities to salute modern day Nazism. We lay no blame on Villa - it would absolutely not be safe to allow thousands of Jews to walk around Aston and its surroundings. Why that may be so should trouble the entire country. It must also be said that following the announcement, we have been inundated with Villa fans happy to give up their seats to travelling Tel Aviv supporters.”
