A pair of ACC entrants did everything they could to give away their games down the stretch. Starting with 10 minutes left: USF 32 Louisville 15 Cards barely hold on to win. VCU 33 UNC 14 Heels lose in OT. A combined 65-29 in crunch time. Yikes!!!

I presume St Mary’s expected to get more than two shot attempts in the first 4:44. Great game plan and execution by A&M.

St. Mary's is an excellent 3-point shooting team but A&M was #1 in 3-point D in SEC play, holding teams to 30.8%. But Gaels are #15 in offense rebounding % while A&M is #284 on the defensive boards. Obviously different levels of athletes in SEC & WCC but worth watching.

Big budget SMU being winless in the tourney since 1988 is crazy, but Nebraska NEVER winning won was insane. Congrats to the Huskers for getting the monkey off their back. 24-6 and 16-3 runs led Nebraska to a 76-47 blowout over Troy in a game that stayed well under the total.

@ExtraHalfPoint You are so dumb. SEC has only won 5 times and the Big 12 4 times. ACC 36 times. That logic just say take an ACC team, right ? Then you will be one of 1,000,000 people to do that.

Practice Your Free Throw D!!! I love the all important free throw D. My 2nd favorite luck-based stat behind only dropped INTs in football. Best in the tourney: Penn 67.0% Worst in the tourney: UVA 75.8%

St. Louis was #1 in BOTH 2-point % AND 3-point % on BOTH offense AND defense in the Atlantic 10. Impressive stuff.

As High Point may have wasted strengths, McNeese St is the #1 turnover forcing team (24.6%) and #1 in steals (15.3%), but Vandy's offense values possessions, only turning it over on 13.3% of possessions and permitting steals 7.2% of the time, which is 11th and 9th (out of 365).

I appreciate all the situational analysis I've seen this week but don't ignore styles of play. High Point is a good team but Wisconsin may not be the best matchup for them. HPU's D is #2 (out of 365) in steals, but UW is very careful with the ball, #1 in avoiding steals by opponents. Like UW, HPU's offense values possessions (#6 in avoiding turnovers) but that's not Wisconsin's game (#323 in D TO rate). So two edges HPU typically has aren't likely to be in play.

@LetUsThinkMore As with the A-10 game last weekend, a clock/time check from the refs takes precedence. So if the refs are going to stop the game for clock review the running on the court never happened.

It’s one thing for a player to do this. But a professional coach in his 30s? He is lucky as hell to have gotten away with it.

Sean Miller absolutely lost his mind on Texas assistant coach Ryan Anderson for running on the court after Tramon Mark’s game-winning shot. Credit to the officials for not letting that ruin a great ending, but probably could have been a technical foul.
