Shared this with the OS team privately but I also want to make my position public given it’s an important issue: NFT pricing should be shown in ETH first (unless the price is less than 0.01e).
More importantly, we must resist the push to conjoin NFT and coins into one single wallet view. You don’t put your Pokemon cards next to your credit cards, they’re different things. Aggregating coins and NFTs using floor prices isn’t even accurate given the very nature of the latter. It’s in the same direction as Blur’s shitcoinization of things.
I hope the @opensea team can reconsider their recent changes.

Blur burned NFTs to the ground
DATs could help NFTs rise from the ashes
Back in 2023, @blur_io hyperfinancialized NFTs as if they’re memecoins in a jpeg. On top of that, Blur Season 1 pushed NFTs to be farmed to the ground
This 2025, when NFTs are down, @token_works came out with $PNKSTR. The basic idea is:
1️⃣ People buy $PNKSTR
2️⃣ Use 10% of trading fees to buy Punk
3️⃣ List Punk for 1.2x over floor
4️⃣ When Punk is sold, use ETH to buy $PNKSTR & burn supply
5️⃣ Repeat
Right now, Punk Strategy has acquired 9 Punks and are able to sell 1 Punk.
This idea is so brilliant that we see:
- @token_works working on a version of this for other NFTs (BAYC, Pudgy Penguins, Moonbirds, Meebits, Cryptodickbutts) that will launch this week. 1% of trading fees here will be used to burn $PNKSTR
- @PDGYSTRG launching in Abstract. It was already able to acquire 2 Pudgy Penguins with the same mechanics
- @LocalFloridaApe working on Bored Strategy looking to do the same for BAYC and maybe Yuga assets
$PNKSTR has started a positive epidemic that ties a token supply and liquidity with an illiquid jpeg. A success for $PNKSTR means Punk price up, $PNKSTRT price up too. The same goes for all the other versions mentioned above
But what if these tokens fail?
Then they’ll be holding on to those jpegs forever until they get sold. So, that’s also supply off from flippers and farmers 😂
If Blur was a battle in floor price that pushes floor price lower, DATs led by $PNKSTR is a battle against floor price that pushes it to be higher 🚀
And thus, NFT szn may be upon us soon

Then we have to let Apes lead. It’s the only way.
Love them or hate them, Apes have always been the face of NFTs. They’ve led the way from the start.
Trying to push another project ahead of them is like expecting XRP to overtake BTC, it just doesn’t feel right.
You want alt season to start? ETH needs to hit a new ATH first. It’s the same with Apes and NFTs.
In December 2024, Apes started the NFT bull run until Penguins stepped in and stopped it. At first, everyone thought Penguins would lead the next season, myself included. But they failed. Then Azuki tried. They failed too.
If we truly want another NFT bull run, give the baton to Apes. Let Apes lead and I guarantee you we’ll see a NFT super cycle once again.
