@AnnieRothNews @calacademy Makes sense. I think I’m a mix of the coyote and the mariposa—hairy, into metal, but also pack oriented. But I also like trash tv, so maybe there’s some raccoon in there?

Japanese scientists who designed a freezer that works in the deep sea have successfully frozen an orange far below the waves. The next step is to improve the freezing time and eventually test the device on deep-sea organisms. 🍊 By @AnnieRothNews. l8r.it/cVek

Spreckels Lake, Golden Gate Park, circa 1908 Picked up a couple of early prints recently, kids with model boats. Though it was initially filled with overflow water from the Dutch Windmill, I think the lake was specifically built for model boating, opening in 1904. #sfhistory

Well, I finally added the Dr. title next to my name here, but not sure I'll keep it. What factors played a role in you all deciding to (or not to) add your title next to your name? 🤔

@ArjDheer I get why other people—who are more comfortable celebrating their accomplishments, who need to fight harder to be heard, and who can inspire others—are more open about their qualifications.

@ArjDheer That said, I can also get away with it a little easier b/c of the identities I present: cis straight white dude. I don’t need to try hard for ppl to listen or take me seriously. And I feel uncomfortable celebrating my wins. So those contribute to me keeping it on the dl.
