[MALI] à Kidal, les russes de l'Afrika Corp ont mené une vaste contre offensive aérienne, en faisant l'emploi de bombes à sous munitions (particulièrement dangereuses pour les populations) avec une très forte capacité de destruction. Le problème? La moitié de Kidal a été rasée. En réaction, la population Azawadie a organisé des manifestations dans lesquelles ils appellent la communauté internationale à intervenir afin d'arrêter les attaques perpétrées par l'armée malienne et ses alliés russes contre les civils.

[SUDAN] Nicknamed “the Butcher of El-Fasher,” Abu Lou Lou whose real name is al-Fateh Abdullah Idriss has returned to the RSF. Arrested in October by his own side for the executions of civilians and subject to UN sanctions, he was released on the orders of General Hemedti’s brother. Deployed to Kordofan to remobilize the troops, he has reportedly been instructed to cease all activity on social media.

[NIGERIA / UNITED STATES / ISLAMIC STATE] Nigeria says joint operations with US AFRICOM killed 175 Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants, including several senior commanders and propaganda/logistics figures. The strikes reportedly targeted logistical hubs, weapons caches, and financial networks in the country’s northeast. The operation highlights the Islamic State’s growing strategic shift toward Africa following its setbacks in the Middle East. According to ACLED, the continent already accounted for 86% of the group’s global activity in Q1 2026. For Sweden, the issue is not only economic. Officials increasingly frame Russia as a long-term hybrid threat combining military pressure, intelligence operations, cyber activity, influence campaigns, and economic manipulation aimed at sustaining strategic competition with Europe.

Stockholm’s warnings come as Sweden restructures its own intelligence apparatus after criticism over failures to anticipate Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. The country is now expanding intelligence coordination and foreign intelligence capabilities as part of its NATO integration.
