@Eyela63 This is exactly how I use kudos. It’s a “cool! I like this,” but not necessarily something I want to reread 500 times. That’s when I use bookmarks. I do try to comment on everything I read to the end though!

It's so funny to realise ppl have completely different views on basic ao3 stuff, like I had no idea some ppl take kudos so seriously! For me kudos is the baseline 'neat 👍' for anything I got enjoyment out of, so basically everything that I read and didn't dislike or get bored of

Please please fic readers pls don’t treat kudos as a reward for finished fics. What if everyone thought to interact only after a longfic is finished? Where does the writer find the motivation to shout into the void for god knows how long, thinking no one cares? Silence kills ❤️🩹

@eledaenish Exactly! Like something has to be wrong with a fic for me to finish a chapter/one shot and not leave kudos, it'll be the rare occasions where something really gives me the ick near the end. Otherwise it entertained me so it's getting kudos!
