THE TRUTH ABOUT PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITY I see alot of emotions flying about this girl abi woman. One thing I don't like about disabled people, let me use the appropriate term "Special needs or people living with disability" is that 80% of them have no compassion for the normal people. If u guys know how mean and wicked some disabled people are, u won't be pitying them. They seems to transfer aggression of their disability to normal people as if we are the cause of their problems. I won't say I hate them, but I swear to God, this people 80% of them are very mean and wicked. A disabled person doesn't care about you but wants you to care about them, they're 100% parasitic in nature. They lack empathy as well. Coming out with this condition to add anger to the already angry people shows insensitivity. But guess what? As usual, Nigerians are emotional and they don't care about actions, all their focus is shifted to the reactions. I don't know why I don't have emotions again, maybe it because of the kind of professional or skill i'm into. VDM CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY TODAY Growing up, I seldom hear people say "One day, a son of nobody will become somebody" I didn't actually understand it the way I understand now. I used to understand it only in one direction, yes I hitherto think that statement means one day a poor man will become a governor, or one big politician like that with influence, money and connections. All my understanding was tilted politically about that statement. Now I have come to understand that as a son of nobody, you can actually become somebody without being a politician and Martins Vincent Otse, aka Verydarkblackman (VDM ) is a true interpretation of this statement. When someone does something that align with my idealogies, what I see as the right thing, I usually give such person my support unalloyed and can defend whatever he does that is right because I already know that's the right thing to do not because he does it. You may hate him for the fact that he h!ts on your favourites and exposes their criminalities, but it's not a problem, it is your choice and you're entitled to it. If you're being hated, it means you're doing the right thing, if nobody talks about you, it means you're doing nothing, at least you need to do something for people to talk about you. SOCIAL MEDIA: A GROWING REPOSITORY OF IGNORANCE In recent times, social media has shifted from a medium for communicating useful information to a dumping ground for ignorance. It has become so polluted that more than half of its users now display blatant ignorance with extreme confidence. I will highlight two recent examples. A few days ago, a content creator attempted to explain a subject he had little to no knowledge of, claiming that criminal case petitions are filed as "Complainant vs. Defendant" instead of "State vs. Defendant." What was most disturbing was how confidently he misled over 50,000 followers with false information. Another example occurred recently regarding a statement by President Donald Trump: "A whole civilization will die tonight." We were never taught that "civilization" is synonymous with "civilians." Rather, it refers to the infrastructure such as electricity, roads, hospitals, schools, and banks, etc that allows a society to be considered civilized and improves the lives of its citizens. Despite this, many are confidently claiming that the President meant he would "kill all civilians" in Iran. This narrative is being pushed so aggressively that it leads others to question their own intelligence. There is a significant difference between reading, understanding, and researching what you do not understand. Technology has advanced to the point where accurate information is readily available. The rise of search engines and Artificial Intelligence is a breakthrough for information retrieval. Yet, a large portion of the population chooses to promote false narratives instead of conducting simple research, thereby polluting the media and misleading those who follow them. I am of the opinion that social media should be regulated to prevent the spread of misinformation that incites or escalates unnecessary conflict.
