Which cretin devised the cap on these? Cardboard beneath the plastic cap, which is then stuck to the foil! I thought we’d moved on from this antiquated design.😡

My options for today were: A) Start what is likely to be the worst harvest of my career in 34°C on some spring barley that I don't think is quite fit. B) Go and cool off in the river with the management team. No regrets.

@PeteJam35938862 @wheat_daddy No Farmer wants to be ‘bailed out’. Degrading a vital low margin business producing food is not in anyone’s interest. It appears you have no insight to the production of food, family business or the structure of farming support to keep you supplied with food since WW 1.

You were elected by only 9.7m people out of a possible 48.2m eligible voters. The lowest number to form a government since the war. You got into No10 by deceit, and lying, nothing to crow about. If your manifesto said you were going freeze our pensioners and ruin farming and businesses, you would be unemployed now.

@wheat_daddy It now transpires that we have replaced one irresponsible Government with one that has no responsibility to its election promises and is set on a course of social engineering based on ill informed advice and ignorance of the real workers they represent.

@wheat_daddy People working on Farms, their suppliers. NHS workers, Trawler crews and many other grafters provide gritty hard effort to feed and look after everyone in our society, countryside and urban areas alike.

I have devised an entirely foolproof, and 100% accurate method for determining whether land owners are genuine farmers or not. Tell the land owner that land in their area has doubled in value. Happy = investor Sad = farmer

@Wyefarm I think this unpowered rake / crop turner was marketed in the late 1960’s or early 70’s and designed for use on tractors like MF 35 / 135. A brilliant design excellently executed. Keep it in good condition.

Not sure when it was built it they thought it'd be on 170hp tractor turning 22ft straw swaths. But here we are & it's very satisfying!

@Wyefarm Ali, the Lely/Vicon Acrobat Rake is one of the most accomplished pieces of design ever applied to Farm Machinery. It’s great to see it being used so wisely and effectively. 👍👍👍
