@Ezkorian @mbiv777 @sharland57753 To be clear, it was a hostage situation. Some guy was robbing a Sketchers store and all the employees were being held inside by the gunman so it was this big ordeal.

@NMoonitz @mbiv777 @sharland57753 I know that restaurant 24hrs, it's on Highland and MB Blvd. I live near the RB pier. Emergency services were very busy this morning; I thought it was because of the festival.

I used to work graveyard at a restaurant called The Kettle. It was close to the ocean in Manhattan Beach (a few miles north of Redondo Beach). One night there was a robbery across the street and the regular police customers were all at their regular booth. I asked why they weren’t at the robbery and they told me inland police are called in for violent crimes so the crimes go on their stats and don’t drive down the property values by the beach. That was back about 20 years ago but they may still do that.
