You can write LaTeX math in Notion. Type: $$ Then: x = \frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a} Hit enter. Boom. Rendered equation. CS students: You don't need Overleaf for every homework problem anymore.

Notion vs Obsidian discourse is exhausting. The real answer: • Notion: If you want databases, collaboration, and structured systems • Obsidian: If you want speed, local files, and graph connections Both are incredible. Use what fits your brain. Or use both like me 🤷‍♂️

Controversial: Making your Notion "aesthetic" is valid. People say "focus on function." But I'll actually USE a dashboard that looks good. Beautiful systems get opened. Ugly systems get ignored. Function enables. Aesthetics motivates. You need both.

A useful Notion formula I built: ifs( Status == "Done", "✅ " + Name, Status == "In Progress", "🔄 " + Name, "⚪ " + Name ) Automatically adds emoji based on status. Visual scan = instant context. No clicking into cards. No checking properties. Just color-coded clarity.
