Mi hijo tiene 22 años y no quiere estudiar ni trabajar. Vive en casa, duerme todo el día y exige como si el mundo le debiera algo.
Ayer le dije que se fuera.
Le di un plazo para que encuentre su camino fuera de mi techo. Mi esposa me dijo que soy demasiado duro, que “es solo una etapa”.
Lo que no dice es que esa “etapa” lleva años consumiendo recursos, paciencia y respeto.
Mi hijo necesita enfrentar la realidad, no seguir escondiéndose en la comodidad. No voy a seguir financiando su estancamiento por miedo a que sufra.
¿Soy un mal padre por poner límites, o soy el único que entiende que proteger no es lo mismo que permitir?
Prefiero que me odie hoy y crezca mañana, que quererlo tanto que lo deje fracasar en cámara lenta.
