the hansel & gretel poem & the way nikki recites it will forever haunt me. excellent writing. the poem is such a gut wrenching depiction of incestuous abuse and nikki reciting it while looking at bear was real nikki's cry for help. #obsession

something i've noticed about THE DRAMA, OBSESSION, BLUE FILM, EXIT 8, HOKUM, ERUPCJA, & UNDERTONE is a relative incuriosity about characters' lives beyond exposition. very hermetic, these people don't seem to exist outside of the immediate circumstances of the movie they're in.

u guys say this but like, no one, aside from a few groups really has any traceable musical identity in 4th gen n that’s okay aespa madd dirty work and rich man in 2024 which are so detached from their concept there might as well not be one ssera has a creative and narrative concept over a musical concept so even though all their title tracks exist in a continuity separate from one another they still work within the greater narrative of being fearless and self confident (especially with the bsides) ive is very similar to ssera in that regard where they have a narrative concept over a musical one and that’s how we can get runs like baddie -> heya -> rebel heart, musically that isn’t as cohesive but narratively it does make sense if we follow ive’s concept of general unfiltered elegance and again self empowerment and actualization I think it’d be cool if you guys sat and analyzed what you were talking about instead of just mindlessly repeating it any time someone gave you even slight pushback to said narrative
