Tariq Ahmad: “In January we’ll go back and watch the previous year’s class and evaluate what went right, what went wrong and we watch all the guy around the league.”
Josh Williams: “We assess it based on our board and our standards. We don’t really care as much about what the mocks say. Because the mocks don’t necessarily talk about the 4th, 5th, 6th round players. The George Kittles, the Dre Greenlaws, those type of players that we valued in the building.”

Worth noting that Shanahan said the players that were available when they got on the clock at No. 30 are still available to them at 33.
So, it's possible a player taken between 27 and 29 might have been the choice if they'd dropped to 30.
