The Packers OL situation is considerably worse than Detroit’s. Also losing their LT Rasheed Walker. They just signed their backup C to be their starting C, and are expected to cut the previous starter. Drafted Jordan Morgan, who stinks, in the 1st round. The Aaron Banks contract (4 years, $77M) from last year was also a nightmare in Year 1. Also—no 1st round picks for the foreseeable future. No Penei Sewell or even young/expected stud like Tate Ratledge anywhere on the roster. The other side of the All-In Trade fixation getting played out in real time.

ESPN sources: The Colts are trading former Pro Bowl LB Zaire Franklin to the Green Bay Packers.
A former seventh-round pick, Franklin spent eight years in Indianapolis and was an organizational favorite who led the NFL in tackles in 2024 with 173.

If you can’t play in games, can’t be paid top dollar. If team can count on you for half the games, you get paid 50% of a top salary

Played in 34 of last 68 games. Collected a lot of free money. Was the highest paid CB at one point and under-delivered on what was expected of him.
