The 2025 Molnar Pediatric PM&R Lifetime Achievement Award was posthumously awarded to  Dr. Gloria Eng, an early pioneer in pediatric rehabilitation. Dr. Maureen Nelson accepted on her behalf.

Congratulations to Dr. Sharon Bushi of Burke Rehab Hospital, who received the Tactile Medical Cancer Rehabilitation Research Grant for her study "Evaluating Inpatient Rehabilitation for Metastatic Cancer Patients."

Congrats to Dr. Anders Asp (Mayo Clinic) on his Molnar Pediatric PM&R Research Grant to study "Transcutaneous Spinal Cord Stimulation to Improve Lower Limb Function and Assess Lower Motor Neuron Health in Children with Spina Bifida." Dr. Joline Brandenburg accepted on his behalf.

Congratulations to Dr. Corinna Bondi of the Univ. of Pittsburgh, who received this year's Encompass Health Midcareer Investigator Research Grant for her study on "Clinically-relevant Neurorehabilitation to Mitigate Aging-and Hypertension-mediated Cognitive Decline after TBI."

Congratulations to Dr. Adam Tenforde, of Harvard/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, who received a Scott Nadler PASSOR Musculoskeletal Research Grant for his work on "Achilles Tendinopathy." This is Dr. Tenforde’s third Foundation grant award.

Congratulations to Dr. Jason Silver of the University of Washington, who received a Materson ERF New Investigator research grant to study “Bioengineered Muscle Tissues to Assess Muscle Stem Cell Fate Decisions with Aging."

Congratulations to Dr. Syed Qadri of Moss Rehabililtation, who was awarded a Materson ERF New Investigator research grant for his project, "Evaluating Brain Plasticity in Moderate TBI Patients with Theta Burst Stimulation." Aslihan Sahin and Rosalie Ellis accepted on his behalf.

Congratulations to Dr. Nicole Katz of Harvard/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, who was awarded a $10,000 Richard Materson ERF New Investigator pilot research grant for her study of “Mechanistic Impact of Synovial Fluid Relaxin-2 on the Progression of Knee Osteoarthritis."

The University of Michigan once again takes top honors in the Rehab 5k Residency Program Challenge! Congrats on winning both Largest Team and Fastest Team. Many thanks to our other participating teams from University of Cleveland and Mount Sinai New York as well.
