Her journey from educator to statewide leader reflects the powerful role faculty voices can play in shaping public policy. Thank you, Dr. Weber, for joining FACCC and for your continued leadership in service to California’s students and communities.

Before her service in the Legislature and statewide office, Dr. Weber spent more than 40 years as a professor of Africana Studies at San Diego State University, dedicating her career to education and public service.

The FACCC Education Institute is proud to support Santa Barbara City College faculty with a morning of important conversations on CalSTRS, defined benefits for full-time and part-time faculty, Pension2, and health and retirement planning.

We’re honored to have Senator Bob Archuleta with us at the 2026 Advocacy & Policy Conference as we recognize him as FACCC PAC Champion of the Year. We’re grateful for his continued leadership and commitment to California’s community colleges, faculty, and students.
