Honoured to have presented this morning at #ICAM2023 on the underrepresentation of Filipinos in Canadian medical schools. Was great connecting with medical educators across the country and hope this inspires tangible change! Special shoutout to my incredible mentor @ivyomd 🥹🇵🇭🇨🇦

It was also an honour seeing @drgigiosler again after 4 years - how far she’s come! Hoping events like these can inspire the next generation to address and fulfill the underrepresentation of Filipinos in many sectors, including medicine. 2/2

Yesterday I officially graduated from @uoftmedicine and I would like to formally thank all of my family & friends that got me to this point in my life which I never truly thought I would see. I am truly fortunate that I will be starting my Psychiatry residency in my home city!!

June marks the start of Pride🏳️‍🌈, #IndigenousHistoryMonth, & Filipino, Italian, and Portuguese Heritage Month in Canada🇵🇭🇮🇹🇵🇹 Celebrating with these groups is not limited to one month, but this time helps us bring our awareness to the experiences of our communities & neighbors.

Last month, the FAMS hosted a end-of-year dinner to celebrate the graduating fourth years. This was our first in-person event since COVID - it was great seeing students from all years come out! Congrats to all the news grads! 🥳🎓
