Thank you Michelle, Alvin and the amazing staff at Hong Kong Star for hosting a wonderful Firecrackers Holiday party!!! The food, wine and service were amazing!!!! Two weekends ago we traveled down to Florida to compete in a top notch PGF Super 40 Veterans Salute tournament against 2009 and 2010 teams from New York to South Florida. After starting early and battling the heat on day 1, we were 4-0, including two gutsy one run wins, one of which was a walk off while running on fumes!! After a fun night of team bonding, the girls hit the field and gutted out three wins in back-to-back-to-back fashion and found themselves in the championship game…for our fourth game in a row without a break! After a very competitive game with a ton of defensive highlights and stellar pitching on both sides (special kudos to our very own Olivia Cantarutti), this time we were on the heartbreaking end of a 1-2 walk off defeat to an extremely talented Clearwater Bullets Schultheis team. We are super proud of these young ladies. They battled hard for each other, showed amazing heart and grit, time and time again picked each other up, made big plays and came up with clutch hits. A special thanks to our coaches - Andrea Castle, Michael Greiner and Joe Mikell. They are demanding yet positive and continue to push our girls to new heights. Lastly, a massive shout out to our parents! They are a great group and fun to be around. And to Josh Bettinger - thank you for your service! This puts a wrap on a highly successfully Fall season…we won our pool in each of our tournaments, taking home one championship to go along with tonight’s runner up showing, and finished high in the others. Now it’s time to rest, recover, enjoy other sports and before too long we will be back at it for winter workouts with an eye on making some serious waves come Spring. #FCSTRONG #playwithhonor #bethehunter #trusttheprocess
