@WebHighlights_ Thanks for responding. I have a free synced account. The notification check does not persist in off state. It's so bad I am using a Tampermonkey script to suppress the shadow dom div it is using. Will try uninstalling and reinstalling. I have no use for gamifying news clips.

@FClavichord Hey, sorry to hear that - that shouldn't happen. Do you use the offline mode or do you have an account? If you have an account, please try to uninstall the extension and reinstall it. If you use offline, please create a local backup file and do the same. Then import your backup.
