@LucaCelebre21 The Avalanche are a finesse team built on skating and speed. They strugg;le to deal with the physicality in the playoffs, its been like this for years

@LucaCelebre21 The Avs don’t need to be a physical hit everyone team, all the time. That will lead to more power plays for their opponents. They have to be able to flip the switch to play a physical, nastier style of hockey, when need be.

@Wildebeesthree I’ve seen more than a few teams be dominant in the regular season, only to not have it translate to playoff hockey. These Avs are one of them. Just having a lot of skill alone, isn’t enough to win a Cup. They need better goaltending, and a more physical, nastier team.

@jimmathesonnhl Injuries are killing them, but so is their lack of sandpaper, grit and physicality. They’re built more for the regular season than the playoffs. Also, their lack of a true #1 goaltender, is a problem.

@MikeBartner My main takeaway is that the regular season and the playoffs, are different animals. The Golden Knights have a team built a little bit better, for playoff hockey.

All this talk from angry Avs fans that Jared Bednar should be fired, like he is problem…c’mon. Avs at some point may be keeping seat warm for young Denver U David Carle but if Bednar was fired he would be out of NHL work five mins.

Yeah Blackwood was *so* good this whole year. Regardless of how Wedgie played… Mack LOST the starting job due to his own mediocre play.

Wedgewood wasn't good enough. Another lost year to poor goaltending. Shame. Worst thing was him getting hot at the end and taking away the job from our starter. Gonna always wonder how things would've been with blacky. I'm telling ya. Gonna take months to get over this.

I think as long as you have Mack and Makar playing at elite levels you'll always have a chance. But this team just needs a different direction now. It's time for a new system. The passive, off the rush style of play is not successful for getting you out of this Western Conference

@citchmook It’s frustrating as Hell, and they need a new Head Coach. They also need to trade for, or sign, some more physical and sandpaper playoff guys, and definitely have to trade for a clear #1 goalie. Blackwood and/or Wedgewood, aren’t good enough.

Back to back games in control with a lead and lost, series should be 2-1 Avalanche but stupid coaching decisions and defensive breakdowns during clutch time has Colorado facing elimination. Collapsed in game 7 last year. All three should have been wins. It's unacceptable.
