@FDPPUG This agreement should not have entered into in the first place for obvious reasons given our data protection legal framework and within the Spirit and letter of article 41 of our construction and the Access to information legislation. I await to be enjoined as a petitioner now.

Data is growing. Protection isn’t. The Privacy Scorecard 2025 shows progress , but not enough. Overall performance improved to 46%, up from 40% in 2024, but still below the 50% benchmark for acceptable global standards. Progress is happening, but it remains slow and uneven across the continent. Now officially digital, the 5th Privacy Scorecard makes exploring the findings simpler and more engaging. 🔗bit.ly/4tsO0aW #PrivacyScorecard2025 #PrivacyScorecardReportAt5

#WemetonX #WemetonTwitter Not every online love story is real. Some scammers take advantage of trust and emotions to manipulate victims into sharing money, personal information, or sensitive content. Stay alert when interacting online. Verify identities, don't rush into emotional commitments, and think twice before sharing personal details. Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, Cap. 97, health data is sensitive personal data. Cross-border transfers require a lawful basis and adequate safeguards. Does the MoU as signed meet that bar? And what remedies do Ugandan data subjects actually have?
