As Lt. Robert J. Heaney and Technician Stephen W. Shipp, Jr. will be honored and remembered this weekend, we will always remember #DCsBravest who died in the line of duty and inscribed on the plaques at the memorial in Emmitsburg, MD and those who perished prior to 1981.

DC’s Bravest were out in force at Truck Touch 26 at RFK Lot 8. Engine 8, Truck 10 and Foam Unit 2 were on display, Hands Only CPR was being taught, and a fire safety information table provided life saving information from #DCsBravest.

Engine 29 and Truck 5 in Palisades recently hosted approximately 20 children from The River School at their firehouse. The young ones got to meet their local firefighters and learn what they do.
