@phillyburner25 No one mentioned race at all ... and I'm not talking about meeting people in every day life. But if you're a broadcaster / journalist and talking about people in a public forum (players/coaches/whoever), getting their name right is table stakes.

@FDuffyNFL I completely disagree. Yes its good to try and pronounce names correctly, but i dont get mad at Asian people or Latino people if they dont pronounce my name correctly because they have an accent. I wonder why only white people are expected to pronounce names perfectly

This is an A+ point It is sad when a player settles on the pronunciation/usage of his name while in college Everyone in the space can say whatever we want about the player, his game, everything about him .. the LEAST we can do is say his name correctly to his standard
