D-Day -1 A mix of excitement and nerves in FEH

Our priority remains unchanged This is literally a red line issue An Acute Hospital In Clare 4 Clare

Having SOOO much data means our briefing doc for Monday is quite extensive All drawn from govt / HSE data PQs RHF questions it’s safe to say FEH are well briefed 🤩 Add in our own lived experience and we will certainly be making a compelling case And there are lots of maps 😉

Traffic very light Driving within speed limits 40 minutes from the ambulance bay at Ennis to the new site off the R510 The internationally recommended transfer time is 45 mins You don’t even have to go as far as Lissycasey or Inagh to be outside the 45 minute window in Clare 😔

#WednesdayWisdom There has been much discussion online & offline about government intentions towards the Midwest Region Suggestions that the purchase of land in Limerick to build a new hospital represents sufficient investment in our region FEH are not accepting that idea

A big announcement A room full of smiles Then silence UHL was the most overcrowded hospital in the country this morning What is the minister waiting for?

We understand that minister has a lot of responsibilities As Clare people we understand that a trip west means a full days travel! So to hear the minister went to Limerick and couldn’t come the extra few miles up the road to Clare … That’s not good enough #ClareDeservesBetter

We know we have been very quiet lately We are waiting for a confirmed date to meet with the Minister 😔 That is not to say we aren’t doing anything Lots of work going on in the background as usual
