The first #FERROannualmeeting has officially come to a close.🙏 A special thanks to our host UFZ, for welcoming us in Leipzig. 📸👥 This group photo captures more than just a meeting — it reflects the commitment behind our mission. A huge thank you to all involved partners!💙

🗓️✨Last Thursday marked the final day of the #FERROannualmeeting. 🔍 We highlighted the past two days and began shaping our roadmap for the upcoming year. 🙏 A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this meeting such a success!

Day 2 of the #FERROannualmeeting On Wednesday we stepped out of the meeting room and into the field. Our journey took us to the Dröda Reservoir, where we got an up-close look at the engineering and ecological thinking behind the water management. 💧🌿

After a brief coffee pause, we gathered again to learn more about the "Excavation of nutrient-rich lake sediments and reuse as fertiliser in agriculture" - a presentation led by Olga Tammeorg

Our first day of #FERROanualmeeting continue with Kasper Reitzel and his presentation on "Removal of nutrients from lake water using a solar pump system and recycling on agricultural soils" 🧪

After a short break in our Day 1 of #FERROannualmeeting, we are now focusing on "Using sonar and sediment analysis to target specific P-releasing areas in lakes", a presentation led by Theis Kragh

Our first day of FERRO's annual meeting continued with an interesting view on the Recovery of nutrients at lake inflows and reuse as fertiliser in agriculture. Presentation led by Luis Braune & our coordinator - Tallent Daddi.

This week in #FacesofFERRO meet Karsten Rinke, Head of the Department of Lake Research at the @UFZ_de. Within FERRO, he steps in as Project Manager, alongside Tallent Dadi, contributing to his expertise in lake restoration, nutrient recovery, and scaling solutions to new regions.

#FERROPartners continues this week with presenting our 2nd partner - University of Southern Denmark 🏦📜 Founded in 1966, they have different programs dedicated to humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences and engineering.

It's time to introduce the 1st institution in our #FERROPartners campaign. @UFZ_de , one of the world’s leading research centres, was established in 1992. The UFZ currently focuses on environmental research in a highly integrative manner and is also coordinator of FERRO.
