Today was meant to be a joyful celebration of Hanukkah, a time of light, hope, and togetherness. Instead, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic attack in Bondi. We are deeply upset and horrified by this senseless act of violence. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives, and with all those who were injured. In this moment of grief, we stand in solidarity with our Jewish friends, colleagues, and neighbors, and with everyone impacted by this tragedy. At a time of rising hate and violence around the world, we are reminded of the importance of dialogue, compassion, and continued efforts to build a safer and more peaceful society.

This Thursday in Basingstoke, we celebrated our annual Christmas event, organised by Dialogue Society Basingstoke branch in partnership with Fellowship Educational Society, welcoming the Mayor, local councillors, community leaders, and residents from across our diverse community. It was a truly joyful and heartfelt gathering. Events like this remind us of the power of connection—they build understanding, foster trust, and show what’s possible when we approach each other with openness and kindness. Through meaningful dialogue, we continue to create spaces where everyone feels welcomed, heard, and valued. Life of a Chickpea at @DidcotGirls! Yesterday we had an inspiring session with the Year 8 cohort, exploring key themes around Equiality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).
