#FFOI

The Flag Foundation of India has launched India’s first National Flag Recycling Initiative to ensure our flag is treated with dignity, even after use. Every year, crores of our National Flag are proudly displayed across the country, but when the celebrations end, where do they go? A worn or damaged flag still deserves respect. Now, you can ensure it is respectfully retired and responsibly recycled. Because honouring the flag isn’t just for the moment, it’s for its entire journey. If you have an old or damaged Tiranga, send it to the following address for responsible recycling: Centre for Recycling Village Balana, Near N C Medical College Israna, Panipat Haryana - 132145 Let us honour the Tiranga till the very end. #FFOI #RenewThePride

The Tiranga belongs to every Indian. Recognised by the Supreme Court as an expression of our freedom of speech and expression, displaying the National Flag is both a right and a responsibility we proudly carry. A thought by Shri Naveen Jindal on the pride and responsibility the Tiranga represents for every Indian. #FFOI #NaveenJindal

23 March reminds us of the day when three young revolutionaries chose the nation over their own lives. Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were executed on this day. They were young revolutionaries who stood firmly against British rule and challenged it fearlessly. They avenged the death of Lala Lajpat Rai and raised their voice in the Central Legislative Assembly to make their call for freedom impossible to ignore. They did not step back or ask for mercy. In their early twenties, they chose the country over their own lives. The Flag Foundation of India salutes their courage and the conviction with which they stood for India’s freedom. #FFOI #martyrsday

Two years ago, thousands came together to create history for the Tiranga. In collaboration with O. P. Jindal Global University, the Flag Foundation of India brought together 7,368 participants to form the largest human waving national flag, a moment officially recognised by Guinness World Records. Even today, this achievement stands as a powerful reminder of how the Tiranga continues to unite millions of Indians in pride and purpose. #FFOI #guinnessworldrecords

On 12 March 1930, Mahatma Gandhi began the historic Dandi March from Sabarmati Ashram. What began as a 24-day, 240-mile walk to challenge the British salt law soon grew into a nationwide movement of civil disobedience. When Gandhi reached Dandi and lifted a handful of salt, it was more than a symbolic act. It awakened a nation and inspired millions to stand up against colonial rule. Nearly 60,000 Indians were arrested, but the spirit of resistance had already spread across the country. 96 years later, the Dandi March still reminds us that even the simplest act of courage can inspire a nation to stand for its freedom. #FFOI #DandiMarch

Different voices. Different journeys. One Tiranga. From the battlefield to the playing field, from citizens to constitutional leaders, each story reveals what the Tiranga truly means. It is not just a piece of cloth. It is our identity, our sacrifice and our pride. More than a flag. It is the heartbeat of 1.4 billion Indians. #FFOI #23rdJanuary

On the proud occasion of hoisting the Tiranga at Kannur, this historic garrison in North Kerala marks an important moment in its long tradition of serving the nation. Known as the “City of Looms and Lores,” Kannur reflects a rich blend of cultural heritage, traditional crafts, and a history filled with courage and resilience. Home to the Defence Security Corps Centre since 1961, the station has played a key role in protecting important defence establishments while also supporting humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. With the National Flag now standing tall over this historic station, Kannur continues to strengthen its commitment to duty, honour, and service to the nation. #FFOI #Tiranga

Imagine being the most powerful man in India, yet choosing to live like a monk. His journey began not in a palace, but in a classroom, where a professor once wrote that the examinee was better than the examiner. With a brilliant legal career ahead of him, he chose sacrifice over success. He gave up luxury, wore simple khadi, and stood beside Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle. As India’s first President, he reduced his own salary because he believed true leadership is defined by character, not comfort. On his death anniversary, we honour Dr. Rajendra Prasad, scholar, statesman, and the gentle strength behind a young Republic India.

Every time the Tiranga rises, it reminds us of pride, identity, and belonging. Yet for years, raising it was restricted. In February, a few defining moments began to change that. What started at one factory, became a turning point that ensured every Indian could honour and raise the national flag without restriction. These are the February Files. The moments that brought the Tiranga closer to Indians. 🇮🇳

The silence of the night gave way to the roar of Mirage 2000s. It was not just the sound of aircraft. It was the resolve of a nation that would not stay silent. The Balakot Air Strike marked a defining moment of national honour. Our pilots carried more than a mission. They carried the trust of 1.4 billion Indians and the dignity of the Tiranga close to their hearts. The Flag Foundation of India salutes the Guardians of our skies.

Dr. C. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University traces the journey of our flag from a symbol of the independence struggle to a "democratic aspiration" that belongs to every Indian. He highlights the significant role of Shri Naveen Jindal, whom he describes as a "Flag Satyagrahi." As a visionary leader, he fought for over a decade to ensure the National Flag is accessible to all, regardless of position or power. Let us celebrate the legacy that allows every ordinary Indian to display their national identity with dignity and a deep sense of responsibility.
