The US is reopening its land border to fully vaccinated Canadian travellers. The 🇺🇸 & 🇨🇦 have worked closely together in the last 18 months to protect Canadians from COVID-19 while ensuring the flow of essential goods and services, and this news is one more step towards normal.

@BillBlair Please ease the border restrictions, we all are tired of this. We don’t want the mandatory quarantines. At least ease the border restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated, and open up the borders.

Decisions at our border will always be made by Canadians, for Canadians as we closely monitor health metrics and assess how best to keep Canadians safe.

@BillBlair don’t understand the point that once Canadians abroad are vaccinated and get a COVID-19 negative test report, why do they still have to pay approximately $2000 for a three night stay in a government approved hotel and then again quarantine for 14 days?
