Today, we launched our retention report: 'Looking after the GPs of today to safeguard the workforce of tomorrow'. You can read the full report here: ▶️ rcgp.org.uk/getmedia/69bba… Our GPs are being stretched to the limit. Demand for GP services is increasing, but since 2015, NHSE has 1,557 fewer full-time fully qualified GPs. It's a vicious cycle: unsustainable workloads force GPs to leave the profession, piling on the pressure on remaining staff. This strain accelerates burnout, plunging the workforce into an even deeper crisis.
