This is my last year as middle/high school principal. I'm excited to share that I will be continuing the great work in our district by taking on the superintendent role starting July 1! Now for the challenging question: can I keep my Twitter handle?

Man we can’t wait.

The question about what’s wrong in education is deeper than what harms do we need to eliminate or what problems need solving. Eliminating things that harm is not the same as creating things that heal us.

We must begin to prepare, teach, and train people to be vulnerable, cultivate empathy, and practice self-reflection.

How do we change this? It’s deeper that problem analysis, narrative change, or coalition building — it’s healing.

Educators are tired, & not the the kind of tired you can just sleep off and wake up the next day. No, they’re tired to their roots, at their core.
