I’m excited to announce that @Felicis has led Sooth’s Seed round! The world is being asked to make more, faster, higher-stakes decisions under greater uncertainty. The tools most leaders use to navigate that uncertainty — gut, spreadsheets, the occasional consultant deck — were built for a slower world. To keep up, foresight must become a piece of infrastructure. Yaser Sheikh and @rsalakhu are building that foresight engine, powered by a time series model that deciphers and weighs real events, signals, and probabilities. @Yuchenj_UW Why not just change the wage threshold if they want to weed out unskilled labor? This type of penalty/fee as an economic incentive is prohibitive for even hiring tech talent.

It's sad to hear President Trump raised the H-1B Visa fee from $1,000 to $100,000. - New grads will struggle to get a job - Startups can't afford global talent - Top minds will go to immigration-friendly countries to study and work US can't lose its biggest moat: global talent

12+ hours without this clarification caused so much confusion and pain for current H1B holders. Among many highly qualified H1B candidates, the tone changed from keep fighting to keep the job to find opportunities elsewhere. Trained/skilled talent drainage is bound to happen.

Exciting News in AI! @AnthropicAI has just introduced Claude 3, a revolutionary series of large language models designed to compete against products from OpenAI and Google. Co-founders @Dario_Amodei and @DanielaAmodei sat down with @Forbes' @alexrkonrad and @kenrickcai to talk about the new suite of Claude 3 models (Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku) that optimize latency and cost for different use cases. Early test users found Claude 3 to be a leap forward–as did our coder/VC @TimT, who has been building with Claude 3 this morning. Congrats to the team at Anthropic!
