@AfjolHussa5887 @RealBetis_en The official Betis account is explicitly baiting Premier League teams after overturning a 1 goal deficit and calling it a remontada And I’m shameless?

Does any Premier League club want to know how a REMONTADA is done?

@henry_omijie @vcatalina96 My point is there’s no “picking a struggle” when a league’s competitiveness can create higher quality teams across the board AND lead to greater fatigue and inability to rotate as a season goes on That’s not an insane thing to say. Acting like it’s somehow hypocritical is stupid

@FIFABrit @vcatalina96 Yes. And the competitiveness of the PL made them better. Spurs beat Villarreal. Spurs were in the bottom half of the PL at that time, Villarreal were 3rd in laliga.

For those that don’t get this… Real Madrid ≠ La Liga. Bayern ≠ Bundesliga. PSG ≠ Ligue 1. I wasn’t saying those clubs are shit. They are amazing. I was saying that they’re so much better than the rest of their league that they have it easy. The numbers below back that up and so do the finances. Here are clubs’ revenue multipliers vs the average revenue in their leagues: Real Madrid 6.1x Barca 5.1x PSG 6.0x Bayern 4.0x Man City 2.3x Spurs 1.8x Newcastle 1.1x If you can’t understand why that makes the PL a more competitive league, then you don’t have the brain capacity to engage in this discourse.

Why do Premier League teams struggle in the UCL at this stage of the season vs teams like PSG, Barca, Madrid, Bayern? Fatigue. They have physical battles every week against top teams all season. Those others do not. Credit to @scottjwillis for the graph idea 🫶 ClubElo data

Look, I know stats aren’t everything. But how on Earth can Palace have been “absolutely terrible” with: 70% possession to 30% 29 shots to 6 7 SOT to 3 3.18 xG to 0.28 Winning the game itself 2-1 Talk to me… how can a team THAT dominant have been “absolutely terrible” to watch?

Lens are willing to reschedule a potentially title-deciding match in order to help PSG’s fitness levels before facing Liverpool, because PSG’s success will help Ligue 1 teams English teams would never do this. I’m not even sure if the FA would allow it Maybe they should…

🚨 | Lens are "not totally closed" to the idea of having their game against PSG postponed, in order to aid the latter's preparations for their Champions League quarter-final tie against Liverpool. (RMC) getfootballnewsfrance.com/2026/lens-open…

For all the chatter about La Liga being “done” in the group stages, we’ve got the most sides in BOTH the CL and EL Quarterfinals. Barça ✅ Madrid ✅ Atleti ✅ Celta ✅ Betis ✅ Rayo ✅
