Well they set it at lap 113. Probably a combo of warming daylight track surface, still cooler air, a lighter fuel load and open track ahead. My point was only that if the Lambo did not pull over Max would have probably passed it. Which comes down mostly to driving skill and sheer aggressiveness not necessarily car performance alone I hope that makes more sense.

The 84 Abt Lamborghini did the fastest lap of the #24hNBR at 8.08,758 minutes, and not the Mercedes Number 3 with Verstappen. The Abt Lambo had to pit in the start lap, it was P1 at the time, to address a flat tyre. It finished 2nd.
