Ok I am going to be vulnerable here for a moment. I am cutting my hair pretty short on Thursday. I had extensions for about 6 months recently and it absolutely destroyed my hair. I’ve been struggling with damage and hair loss ever since I took them out and the only way to fix this issue with hair texture like mine is to just restart. You can’t really tell in pictures because of the way I style it but nearly half of my front hairline got ripped out, I have thinning patches in random spots from where the extensions pulled, and the color I was doing destroyed the ends.
I know a lot of people liked the long hair because it’s sexy and beautiful, but that wasn’t my real hair. Please be kind while it grows back out. Please don’t tell me it looks manly or gay because I am already struggling with feeling insecure about it to begin with. I haven’t seen my natural hair color in 15+ years and this is going to be a very lengthy and weird transition for me. Ok that’s it thank you
