#释放何方美 #何方美一审获刑五年半 据悉，2024年10月23日，辉县法院在新乡看守所一审宣判何方美案，何方美被以重婚罪、寻衅滋事罪，判处有期徒刑5年6个月（刑期至2027年1月1日）。何方美自2020年10月起被监视居住长达18个月，本案2022年3月一审开庭后，迟迟不下判长达30个月。附：一审判决书

Today marks the fourth birthday that former HKCTU chairperson Carol Ng has spent in prison. Even though we cannot see her during this time, she has always remained in our hearts. We will not forget her tireless efforts over the years for aviation workers and the working people of Hong Kong. We will not forget that during every labour struggle in the past, when many of us were worried and anxious, it was her encouragement that kept us from giving up. And we will not forget that what she is enduring now is because of the common goals we pursued together. We hope Carol will soon regain freedom and be reunited with her family. 【卢思位最新情况】律师近日会见了思位，得知以下情况： 1.他由关押27人的监室转到关押32人的监室，每天要干活，晚上还要值日两个小时。 2.早餐还可以，午餐和晚餐比较差。 3.甲状腺用药有所改善，银屑病用药不对症，希望能允许送药给他。 4.仍然不让送书，没有阅读的权利。 这几天一直在思考透过思位事件反映出的问题——中国各种形态的任意监禁与控制。 非法边控——几乎所有被边控的人都是在机场出关时才被口头通知，不会得到任何正式文件，也不会被提供正当合法的限制出境的理由； 长达三年的监视居住——从2021年思位被吊证后，我家门口就装了摄像头，全家在摄像头下度过一年，直到我和女儿2022年1月离开，他继续被监视…… 长达一年的取保候审期间，被24小时监控。一辆车，三到四个人，每天就在楼下无所事事地坐着，对着思位的阳台发呆。思位出门，他们就跟在后面。对一个手无寸铁，几乎没有任何社会关系，四年没有工作没有收入没有发出任何声音的人花费如此多的人力物力财力，难道不是对国家资源巨大的可耻地浪费？！ 2023年被老挝当局遣送回国后他的护照就被收了，即便他的美国签证2028年才到期，他仍然无法出来与我们团聚。 思位到底做了什么导致这样的结果？无非办理了一些人权案子，依从良心做了一些该做的工作。他不仅是无罪的，一天刑都不应该判；他更应该被解除非法边控，到美国与分别三年的亲人团聚，过正常的生活——他已经在全监控状态下度过了近四年时光，社会关系被当局全部破坏，虽然还未人亡，但是家已残破不堪。这对任何一个人来说都是残酷的。 为了我和女儿生活，他把成都房子卖了，自己到处借住。这次被捕前住的房子是租的，现在已经退给房东。 这个生存环境有多恶劣，从他一个人的命运中已经可以折射出太多……

I hope those same rights will be afforded to human rights lawyer Lu Siwei, who was reportedly arrested on 10 October, following his forced return from Laos last year as he attempted to travel to the USA to reunite with his family. A bronze bust of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Liu Xiaobo commissioned by Art for Human Rights and Human Rights in China (HRIC) has been donated to the @IrishCentreHR The sculpture was unveiled in the presence of Professor Siobhán Mullally, Director of the Centre, @bill_shipsey Founder and Director of Art for Human Rights and @ZhouFengSuo Director of @hrichina - a friend of Liu Xiaobo and a fellow student leader during the Tiananmen Square Protests in 1989 - and several leaders of other international human rights organisations. The bust, by Czech sculptor Marie Šeborová, is the first bronze bust of the late Nobel Prize Laureate, poet and human rights defender to be placed on a university campus anywhere in the world. It will have a permanent home in the Irish Centre for Human Rights.
