FGCC hosted its first Cardroom Rule forum in Tallahassee today to discuss ways to modify rules or to create new ones to improve services. One person spoke on behalf of several cardrooms and made a number of recommendations to enhance the current rules.

New FGCC Commissioners Will Spicola and Peter Cuderman, along with new Chair Julie Brown were officially confirmed today by the Florida Senate. Leon County Undersheriff Ron Cave spoke before the FGCC at its March meeting in Tallahassee about the successful partnership between the two agencies. He noted that stronger penalties were needed to fight illegal gambling in Florida and he hopes the Legislature approves tougher measures during this session.

FGCC Executive Director Alana Zimmer and FGCC Chair Julie Brown thank Attorney General James Uthmeier for his support of "Operation Reel of Fortune." This four county sweep removed 623 illegal slot machines and more than $350,000 in illicit cash from Duval, Flagler, Volusia, and Brevard counties.

The updated numbers for Operation Reel of Fortune are now 623 slot machines and $350,800 seized from illegal casinos over a three day period in Duval, Flagler, Volusia, and Brevard Counties. A great partnership with AG James Uthmeier and the Sheriffs in all four counties.
