FGCC Director of Law Enforcement Carl Herold will be participating in the FBI National Command Course. NCC is an elite executive leadership program for the chief executives of law enforcement agencies with fewer than 50 officers. It provides training on the challenges faced by small agencies.

FGCC Chair Julie Brown will serve as a panelist tomorrow discussing illegal gambling at the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States conference in San Diego.

The Florida Gaming Control Commission held its July monthly meeting in Tallahassee this week. FGCC is celebrating its fourth anniversary this month. Commissioners heard updates on recent enforcement actions across the state. They also voted on a Pari-Mutual Operations license, approved Final Orders, granted waivers, and imposed several fines.

The Florida Gaming Control Commission thanks Governor Ron DeSantis for his continued support in protecting Floridians from illegal gambling. His approval of the state budget includes funding for two additional gaming enforcement squads, serving the Jacksonville and Southwest Florida regions. Thank you, Governor DeSantis, for your commitment to public safety.
