Rainbow Springs State Park will implement a day-use reservation system on April 29. Whether you’re looking to sit in nature or swim in the clear waters, day-use reservations will make park entry short and sweet. Collier‑Seminole State Park protects one of the three original stands of royal palms in Florida. This rare grove was first set aside in the 1920s by Barron Collier, who wanted to preserve the unique landscape of Southwest Florida. Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park has been a landmark of North Florida for centuries. The park was once home to Seminole communities, Spanish ranches and even a lake where steamboats crossed. Running right through it is the Gainesville–Hawthorne State Trail, a 16-mile path built along a historic railroad corridor. We have news! Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park is getting a new visitor center! The new facility will expand meeting space and add additional areas for exhibits and educational programming. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2027.
