Jeff Bezos says people worrying about AI taking everyone’s jobs are looking at it the wrong way. Speaking at VivaTech in Paris, Bezos said AI will make people more productive and could actually lead to a shortage of workers, not mass unemployment. “People worry that AI will replace workers. I think the opposite is going to happen.” He argued that there are basically endless problems for humans to solve and that AI will create new industries and opportunities, just like past technologies did.

Electronic Arts has officially launched EA Advertising, a new team that will bring ads directly into EA games and live events. EA says ads will be integrated into gameplay through real-time placements, such as stadium billboards, sponsored content, and other branded experiences. The company says these ads are meant to “enhance, not disrupt” the player experience. The first focus will be on EA Sports games, where advertising already exists in real-world sports. EA says brands including Visa, State Farm, Chime, Coach, Vans, and Lowe’s have already worked with the company.

When asked how much “tokenmaxxing” is happening inside the company: “A lot, I’m a tokenmaxxer too, it’s addictive.” Nadella said people should think about their goals instead of always using the most powerful models. “You have to step back when the novelty wears off to say, ‘What is it that I’m trying to create?’” Nadella said the goal is to match the right AI model to the right task. Xbox's strategy so far under Asha seems to have been just cheap wins and chasing their tail. I'm not sure why they feel so inclined to talk so much and do interviews, but they should probably just stay silent until they have a plan in place.
