@_HannielPE_ @Jadeiteee I wish Project Afternight allowed more community made maps like bfnfr does tbh. It's also not that bloated I mean I see most of the mods in there to be reasonable to play. It's alot, but not bloated much which balances out selection imo.
English

@_HannielPE_ @Jadeiteee I'm friends with the devs of bfnfr, I as a mania player enjoy their game more than Project Afternight. The community maps are honestly really refreshing to play and they're not bad to play (most of the time). Project Afternight lacks community made maps.
English

then Project: Afternight updates after 10 years and does this a million times better

English

@Jadeiteee @_HannielPE_ I don't like Project Afternight, there's a bloat load of mods that I rarely ever see people play. Majority will play the same mods. I see Funky Friday heading to a good direction with their updates so far.
Hopefully it'll get better visually though. It's currently fine tho.
English

@_HannielPE_ its just a lot more low quality and honestly just worse than project afternight
project afternight is also just visually and quality wise better and you actually have to PLAY THE GAME to get animations sets and stuff instead of just. buying them
English

@FirulaisGG_real @FNFConfessions_ Every note you mostly see correlates with the song. It's alot but with a lot of training it becomes easier to hit rapid patterns and playing harder charts you realize they fit with the song just fine. The difficulty is just hard. (Me playing 8.6* Nectrotopia around it came out R)
English

@FNAFURP @FNFConfessions_ I simply don't understand osu mania. I've seen videos where the music is literally just a little background, and it would be the same as putting on your own music because of the enormous number of notes per second
English

@FirulaisGG_real @FNFConfessions_ Understandable. 2 hands is genuinely better though for just everything, I used to play 1 hand when fnf came out and ever since I've been using 2 hands and I'm now a top 1k mania player on Osu. It's worth it.
English

@FNAFURP @FNFConfessions_ I genuinely have no idea how to say it, it just feels weird
English

@FirulaisGG_real @FNFConfessions_ Since you play one hand, playing with 2 hands can help better with understanding charts like these. Not all look as bad, nether does sarvente. But definitely not the way sarvente does it as there's simpler more easier difficulties that do properly follow sounds.
English

@FNAFURP @FNFConfessions_ The charts from before were 'different', yes, but mods like Zardy didn't have bad charts, I tell you, I literally play with one hand, believe me I can notice when a chart is tedious
English

@FirulaisGG_real @FNFConfessions_ Yeah I agree to an extent these charts do NOT fit on time, but as a mania player this is fine for me. I'd usually call it a dump chart as It's part of rhythm games and it's normal. But definitely this isn't the best use of a chart especially for smth back then.
English

@FNAFURP @FNFConfessions_ I'm not saying it's the fault of the person who made the mod, I was there at that moment. I'm saying that a bad chart can ruin the experience of a mod and this community is quite volatile
Also, don't fuck with me, this chart is awful as fuck, everyone complained about it
English

@FirulaisGG_real @FNFConfessions_ Sarvente is a old mod, back then most fnf charters didn't know how to chart and time correctly so don't blame a mod for being new during that time. Yes a bad chart is very subjective to your skill level but don't take consideration that a bad chart means it's bad for everyone.
English

@FNFConfessions_ Sorry, but no, just no. A bad chart ruins a mod, nobody remembers Sarvente's mod?
English

@gur_madness As a charter, this automation chart systems have been out for sometime now but they're god awful. Just have time to chart. It takes time yes but your chart is what you FEEL fits. It's your creation and gameplay. It's worth the time in the end of each chart you do.
English

Charting is like literally the easiest shit you can do in fnf modding why the fuck do you need an auto charter dawg

@ninja_muffin99 Still not week 8 week 7 turned 5 years old weeks ago
English

@FNFConfessions_ I'm actively trying to get permission to use her in my fnf mod. Limu is a cool idea.
English

@hereswhisper @AshleyFromWW @Hundrec No they haven't updated their engine in 8 months. While yeah the GitHub did recently update a few weeks ago, the actual newest build haven't. (The ss is from psych engine's general)

English

@Content_797 I'm a charter and I personally don't enjoy both engines and rather use Psych engine for all my charts. I've made converters to convert to Legacy charts on my custom psych fork for mods that do use them though. I just don't like charting on them, they're really bad n inconsistent.
English

@M0nk3yb0y495 @kade0913 @Nebula_Zorua Vowel charting isn't a bad thing, I do think it's very very subjective depending on the song being used and charted. But I'm sure other rhythm games do this as well, just not the same way FNF does it. Very likely it is still PR, just a little different when it's Fnf.
English

@kade0913 @Nebula_Zorua Literally the post is referring to vowel charting not pitch relevancy. That's why people dislike the post because it's referring to charting the vowels made in the vocals regardless of what pitch it is.
English

this comes up every other month I feel like.
this is pitch relevance, it's not a bad thing, people need to stop thinking this is a bad thing.
charts are bad when they are bad, but it's not because of pr. It's because of misuse/misunderstanding of PR in context of layering.
Leadster-COMMS OPEN@LeadsterInkest
Smth I found a long time ago, and I lowkey I think charters should take notes of this
English

@kade0913 Most charts become bad and bland because of not using PR. Etterna has a bunch of maps that use PR very flawlessly and I think Fnf should prioritize PR this way. It gives reason and quality to the chart especially with characters behind your playfield. It's perfect to use PR.
English

@Pf0r_ I prioritize this only when I'm Mania charting fnf songs. But this heavily depends on the complexity of the chart and song if you don't want full accurate pitches in your chart. But it "feeling" good only for YOU shouldn't be the priority, it should be a unique chart for all.
English

I used to chart like this religiously, but really you want to prioritize patterns that feel good to play, only do this for holds where the lip sync is obvious. For the opponent side doing this is cool though, since the opponent is essentially all for looks.

Smth I found a long time ago, and I lowkey I think charters should take notes of this
English

@SkyanUltra Ofcourse this isn't "needed". But at least for other rhythm games this applies for Pitch Relevance as it adds quality and reasoning to the chart/map's song. This idea is cool, but I doubt it'd be the same. If fnf modders use this idea in the future it'll change charting for fnf.
English

charters do NOT need to do this. if you want vowel based charts that badly then give your character lip-synced poses and use custom note types
