Idrissa Gueye has called for the release of Senegalese fans held in Moroccan prisons. Speaking after Everton's 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday, the Senegal midfielder said: “We think about our supporters who are still in prison in Morocco. Hopefully they will give our supporters back because we are behind them and we support them and we think about them. “I think this decision [to award AFCON 2025 to Morocco] is just ridiculous. We win the game on the pitch not in offices and as a Senegalese player I’m just proud of what we did in the African Cup of Nations. “People who take this decision they are maybe against Africa, because Africa doesn’t need this type of decision.” @Paddy_Boyland

Jews do not own Golders Green. It is a British area with a high Jewish population. How dare pro Israeli Jews attempt to kick an Al Jazeera reporter out of the area. I know the guy and he is a British citizen who can go wherever he wants to in the UK. Was he provoking? No. He was just doing his job reporting on a news story. Perhaps the authorities should visit Golders Green and remind certain individuals that it is not Tel Aviv and they have no right to expel people from the area.
