The primary source on political correctness being responsible is the councillors and police officers who were directly responsible for covering up these horrific crimes. Frankly taking their word for it is just mad. No one, in any normal situation would buy that.

The unique feature of the Starmer govt is that it is the first truly post-political govt in UK history. It has not a single idea or impulse to do anything other than to administer as a night watchman state maintaining the status quo until it is voted out.

Government recommends UNFUNDED pay award for 2025. The govt has submitted its evidence for the teachers pay award 2025. It recommends: - 2.8% for all - To come out of EXISTING budgets - Schools to find "efficiencies" After 14 years of conservative cuts, where will these "efficiencies" come from? Support staff jobs? Subjects? Resources? We are in the midst of a deep and severe recruitment and retention crisis. There isnt an R&R crisis in Scotland - do you know why? Because a teacher who has been teaching for six years in Scotland, earns £6500 a year more than in England. This is a terrible misstep. The aspirations of 6500 more teachers, of securing the life chances of children are both admirable. But both unachievable with a 2.8% unfunded pay award.

The ICC does not compare States or armed groups with each other. The ICC compares each individual's conduct with their legal obligations. The ICC does not ask whether X's war crimes are worse than Y's war crimes. For the ICC, a war crime is a war crime.

Dems should resist any group or special interest that pressures them to take positions opposed by the electoral majority essential to win, whether that’s big corporations, rich donors, nonprofits, whoever. This isn’t about blaming specific groups for defeat - it’s about what’s required to win.
