@WmNoah There's a few reasons in my mind. 1. we don't do that much research in relatively new cemeteries, they are often still in use. The second reason is, my theory, the amulet medallion were often considered a jewelry, not a religious items. We need to reopen some cases #PMAC20

I have A question for @FNalaskowski - You comment on the rarity of the medallions as finds but hint that you think there might have been a lot more of them is that right? If so do you have theories as to why aren’t we finding them? #PMAC20

Medallions of this type are very rare funerary equipment. We know of only about a dozen of them, from Poland or Eastern Europe. Certainly continuing the search and research is worth an effort, so that a coherent, wider study for this type of object is developed. #PMAC20 15/15
