@PlayGameGen Thank you! The microphone mechanic went through a lot of iterations during development, but I'm really happy with where it ended up. And you're right, publishing that first devlog was definitely outside my comfort zone.

@FOSKODev A demon that actually listens through your mic is a genuinely unsettling hook, and 1.5 years solo to get there is no joke. The first devlog is always the scariest thing to hit publish on.

@LeonArtmann Thanks! My inspiration actually came more from movies like The Conjuring, with exorcisms and rituals. The concept evolved a lot over development, and eventually voice became one of the main gameplay mechanics used to overcome obstacles and progress through the game.

@FOSKODev man that's such a neat idea! I've seen microphones being used in horror games before but not as actual gameplay interaction. expect maybe for that one part in P.T.... were you inspired by that?

Finishing my horror game demo (May 29) and testing the intro. The player finds a demonic mark and receives dialogue explaining what to do, but I feel some players may not understand it. Would small objective text in the top-right help, or hurt immersion? #gamedev #indiedev
