It is with regret that due to the coronavirus, the Old Magnesia Well Pump Room will not be opened this Sunday March 15th and until further notice. We feel we cannot guarantee the safety of either our volunteers or the public in such a small space.

As the clocks go back this weekend, we say goodbye to British Summer Time and so long to summer flowers such as these Summer Astrantia Flowers. Until next year! Which autumnal plants are you enjoying this year?

Today is World Tourism Day and we are delighted that people travel far and wide to visit the beautiful town of Harrogate! The Valley Gardens are one of Harrogate's most beautiful assets and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors in the future.

Happy National Doodle Day! Why not spend some time with a sketch pad and pencil in the Valley Gardens this weekend? There is so much to see and draw. Take inspiration from fantastic artist, Gemma Haywood who recently exhibited her work at Art in the Gardens.

We're always on the lookout for new members of our team. If you're interested in history, why not volunteer to give historical tours of the Valley Gardens?

Find some time to relax this weekend - perhaps with a stroll through the Valley Gardens. We've had a wonderful summer with plenty of people using the gardens as a space to reach a state of zen, including Harrogate Yoga Retreats.

Today marks World Honey Bee Day. As you might know, bees are endangered and we need them to keep our ecosystem intact. We love seeing bees in the Valley Gardens and often see all kinds of bees, including tree bees!

Did you know that it's #NationalRelaxationDay? Why not go for a lovely stroll in the Valley Gardens to take some time to soak up nature's relaxing qualities?
