The FOZ museum in Jerusalem - a once in a lifetime experience telling the stories of Jews and non-Jews who together realized the dream of a Jewish national home
We held a powerful and deeply moving Passover Seder at the Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem.
We opened the museum’s doors to an extraordinary gathering, bringing together individuals whose lives reflect profound pain alongside remarkable strength.
Hosted with Dr. Mike Evans, founder of the Friends of Zion Museum, the Seder brought together families who lost their homes in missile attacks during Operation “Rising Lion”, survivors of captivity in Gaza, soldiers protecting Jerusalem, and Holocaust survivors – a living testament to the resilience of the Jewish people across generations.
Among them were Roni Vaxelman and Liza Rogachevsky, who lost everything when a missile destroyed their building – yet survived. Adva and Roi Zacharia, whose home was struck, leaving only an Israeli flag standing. Limor and Nir Arusi, who lost two homes within weeks. And Reut Sultan, a single mother of four, rebuilding her life once again after her home was destroyed.
Alongside them sat survivors of Hamas captivity: Rom Braslavski, Evyatar David, Eitan Mor, and Moran Stella Yanai – all sharing one powerful truth: even in the darkest moments, faith and the sense that they were not alone gave them the strength to endure.
Led by Rabbi David Lau, former Chief Rabbi of Israel, the Seder brought together stories almost beyond comprehension – destruction alongside miracles, loss alongside survival, pain alongside faith.
To see Holocaust survivors with hope.
To see former captives with hope.
To see families who lost their homes – and still choose hope.
This Seder reflected the values at the heart of the Friends of Zion Museum – faith, unity, and hope.
And through it all, one truth stands clear: we are here, we are alive, and we are never alone.
"This is a very holy thing to see the holocaust survivors with hope, to see the hostages with hope. the evacuated families with hope, this is a very holy Passover..."

"No president in American history has ever stood by the state of Israel like this president…saving Israel from potential holocaust.
God bless Donald Trump and bless America."
Our hearts are broken with the loss of Staff Sergeant Moshe Yitzhak HaCohen Katz, of blessed memory 🇮🇱
Moshe Yitzhak, 22, a paratrooper in Battalion 890, made a courageous and deeply meaningful choice – to leave his life in the United States and come to Israel in order to serve and defend the Jewish homeland. He was killed by rocket fire during operational activity in southern Lebanon.
Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, Moshe was a member of the Chabad-Lubavitch community who chose not only to live in Israel, but to stand on the front lines for its people. He is survived by his parents, Devorah and Mendy, and four siblings.
His story is a powerful reminder that the bond between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel goes beyond borders – it is a calling. A choice made out of faith, courage, and a deep sense of responsibility.
May his memory be a blessing 🕯️
President John F. Kennedy saw the miracle of Israel for himself. From a “land of promise” to a nation of hope, he recognized the courage and determination that built the State of Israel.

Throughout history, many Presidents of the United States have expressed steadfast support for the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
One of the earliest and most historic voices was President Harry S. Truman, who recognized Israel just minutes after its declaration of independence in 1948.
