Genuine question, why are Newcastle and Sunderland exempted from the Premier League rules around having away fans at pitch level? They can bleat about having to move home fans or not being able to accommodate away fans in particular areas, but every other club in the league manages it, and it’s definitely an advantage to have away fans as far away as possible. That doesn’t even get to the ridiculous entry requirements, I’m sure fans from clubs on the south coast are ecstatic about not being able to take a power bank for what’s likely to be a minimum of a fifteen hour day to travel to the game.
