A disappointing end to the #FPL season for me with 45 points Tried to do something different to get into the top 10k - it failed - and as it turned out, if I’d done the boring things (bought Bowen, captained him or Bruno) I would have got top 10k! 🤦‍♂️ Finished 19k

Market is what it is. You don’t control that. Either the market is wrong and all these clubs will regret spending big or you aren’t catching up with the market trends. United want to purchase from the market of last season. That market does not exist right now.

Have to see the almost funny side to the fact that the summer where United finally plan to properly overhaul our midfield for the first time in pretty much 10 years, if not longer, comes at the same time when the midfield market has just gone totally nuclear.

If Tchouameni asking wage is anywhere below £250-300k per week I would pay. Absolute peak age, starting player for arguably the biggest club in the world, starting player for the World Cup favorite, league winner, CL winner. Perfect tactical fit. Sitting DM, pass first player, excellent in air, good in possession etc. If you don’t pay £250-300k per week to this player who exactly will you pay this kind of wage? Most big clubs pay this kind of wage to players. Are United still a big club?

@lateriser12 I wonder if this was part of the appeal of Carrick for Ineos? If they got a top manager, they’d expect the club to back them in the transfer market whereas you get the feeling that Carrick is just happy to have the job and accept what he’s given.

Missing out on Anderson or Mateus considering their price isn’t the worst thing in the world. But, the big question is where do United go next. Why haven’t we gone to our other targets already? Why did we spend 4 weeks on Mateus agreeing personal terms and trying to persuade him? We wasted all those precious time for nothing.

1. Sign Mateus 2. Wait for Madrid to decide what they want with Tchouameni. If he is available then get him. Otherwise go for someone like Wharton or someone from Ligue 1 To me, this should be our midfield plans right now.

The first time in my adult life that I voted and felt like I was on the winning team was when I voted for Andy Burnham to become Manchester Mayor in 2017 He's NEVER let me feel like that vote was misplaced. If he does end up becoming PM. I'll back him to the end
