@PhilipSwallow2 @UWankings For me it was like that in 90s Spain.
No one would consider discontinuing a degree for not hitting some graduate employability targets - I believe that's still the case over there (or so I hope).

@FPdeheredia @UWankings In the long forgotten 70s, when I went to university, that was a common assumption, or at least the second part was & the first part an ambition.

And that's why not everyone wants uni to be inclusive
We should see and celebrate these outcomes as success, not flaws of HE

@PhilipSwallow2 @UWankings That's an interesting idea. Education should be a lifelong process, not confined to a certain age range and with the sole purpose of producing employees.

@FPdeheredia @UWankings They certainly do. Which is why there should be a universal right to 3 or 4 years post school education to be taken at any point in the life course.

We are appalled by what we have witnessed this week: the racism, vandalism and attacks against Muslim communities and ethnic minorities.
At LJMU, this behaviour never has and never will be accepted.
