Honouring Amb. Dr. Monica Juma The State Department for Foreign Affairs was honoured to host a Welcome Cocktail Reception in honour of Amb. Dr. Monica Juma, celebrating her appointment to the United Nations and marking the opening of the 19th Ambassadors’ Conference. The evening brought together members of diplomatic corps, government and non-state actors, and partners in a moment of connection and reflection. The Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, welcomed the appointment, noting it affirms global confidence in Kenya’s leadership in multilateralism. The training programme is designed to equip the officers with the knowledge, skills and strategic awareness required to effectively promote and safeguard Kenya’s interests on the international stage.

He further highlighted the growing importance of digital diplomacy, encouraging the officers to sharpen their communication and social media skills to effectively counter misinformation and engage global audiences.
